Keyword FAQ's
Q. What does Exponent Studios actually do while marketing a keyword? A. First, we analyze and fix and issues on your site. Then we go out online and market your business. Depending on the level of intensity you choose, we could be doing anything from submitting your site to directories to writing a blog on your behalf.
Q. How many keywords should I optimize for? A. This truly depends on your business. Let's say you're a small business with over 20 brand names in your store. However, there are 5-10 brands that are essential to your business. We recommend that you start with those 5-10 brands as your keywords. So if you sell Nike brand in Lawrence, KS one keyword/phrase might be "nike dealer lawrence, kansas" or "nike shoes lawrence, ks." Likewise, you could be a large business that provides one product or service nationwide. While there may be an infinite number of ways you could be found, we might recommend that you do an intense campaign on 3-5 keywords or phrases.
Q. What do I do while Exponent Studios is optimizing? A. From time to time we will need your help. We know that you are an expert in your field and we will need to tap into that to best represent your business.
Q. What should I expect? A. Often you will see the same activity you currently have, just more of it. More emails, phone calls, online sales, etc. The goal is to get more people to do what you want them to do. We have clients who want more phone calls or more newsletter signups or more click-to-buys. You may want more surveys filled out or more in store traffic. Regardless of your goals, we will help you find a solution.
Q. Can I do the base level but throw an extra $1000 per month at PPC? A. Sure. We can customize the system to meet the demands of your particular business.
Q. Do I need a website in order to do keyword marketing? A. Technically, no, but you do need a "landing page." We will be asking Internet surfers who need your products or services to "click here". This requires that we have some place to "land" then when they click.
